Description

I was tasked to promote a design lecture of a well known designer. I picked Na Kim, a Korean artist and graphic designer. I was inspired by her simple approach to typography, as well as her bold use of color and gradients, and I reflected these elements into the visual language of my poster. Overall, I am happy with the result, and to have my work selected to be displayed along the hallway of the art building.

Original Letterforms

Winter 2026

Photoshop / Charcoal

Description

For this poster, I created my own ink using charcoal, honey, and water. I then painted each letter on a plate of water and quickly photographed the letterforms as they dissolved. I used a gradient map in photoshop to change the colors— creating fire from charcoal in a different way. The nature of the method reflects the core message of the song it's based on. “Don’t take what is gone” suggests that most things in life are ephemeral. It encourages acceptance over dwelling on what has already burned away.

Description

Recime is a recipe sharing device that I worked on with my group, our topic being long distance relationships. Our product is a device for sharing recipes, encouraging users to connect with loved ones and foster nostalgia through food. I created the 3D model for the tablet, stand, and stylus. I also contributed the visual idea for the airplane graphic on top, and designed the macaron UI screen on the bottom left.
